Embry Automation & Controls Website

A key project of 2024, the revised website for Embry Automation & Controls is the center for the company’s digital marketing efforts. Utilizing Figma and Webflow platforms, a custom designed solution was launched and actively updated through the integrated Content Management System.

Pain Points

  • The previous website had poor SEO performance and did not successfully generate leads.

  • It had been difficult to tell the company’s story through it’s web presence.

Objectives

  • Provide a custom designed website that follows the rebranded identity of the company.

  • Integrate a Content Management System to allow continuous content generation to drive traffic and cultivate SEO performance.

  • Design the architecture of the new website to optimize the lead generation journey of potential customers.

Process - Part One

Prior to starting any design work, a thorough study of the current website and future content improvements were done. A site map was built to outline the project and direct the journey of users to arrive at designated call to action points. Once this architecture was finalized, moving on to the design and prototyping phase was the next step.

Process - Part Two

The website was built with the Webflow platform to create a custom solution. The design process consisted of several phases:

  • Basic Layout Mockups

  • Generation of graphic assets

  • Static page layouts with graphic assets

  • Prototype pages showing responsive and light/dark modes

Once the design process was completed in Figma, I utilized the Figma to Webflow plugin to transfer core design elements into the Webfow platform and from there, create components and pages to take the website to its final form. In the Figma prototype file below, you can review the design phase of the project.
