Embry Automation & Controls
Embry Automation & Controls is an industrial automation & controls integrator that specializes in custom solutions for manufacturing operations across North America. A small company comprised of engineers and specialized technicians, they provide 24/7 service to their customers remotely and on-site at locations that vary from large production facilities to remote worksites in the lumber industry.
Branding and Identity have always been on my short list of favorite projects in this industry. For 2024, I was given the opportunity to develop the brand and identity of Embry Automation & Controls. My initial efforts were spent to gain a real understanding of who this company is and what do they offer to their market. A recalibrated branding and identity guide was generated and submitted to the leadership. I collaborated closely with leadership to pinpoint the company values, personality and the value proposition we offer to existing and prospective customers.
Pain Points
The leadership felt that prior sales and marketing efforts could not capture what the company was trying to accomplish or understand what they can provide to customers. This left a lingering opinion that traditional sales and face to face networking needed to be the primary means to grow the business.
Leadership has struggled to describe what they do and the value proposition to non-technical decision makers in potential customer organizations.
The brand’s presence was struggling in comparison to other local competitors.
Objectives
Work with leadership to establish a clear identity of the company, what its values are, and the value proposition to its current and potential customers.
Translate the optimized and focused branding blueprint into a new visual solution that can be adapted to all facets of business.
Develop the personality and voice of the brand in order to establish the targeted positioning of the company.
